Disaster management unit, said 78 people were killed and more than 40 people were injured. While at least 500 homes were destroyed. A resident, Blanca Moreno, said the loss of a sister and her nephew.
"That's why we gathered here, waiting for what information could we can, looking for whether they've found," said Blanca, who gathered with other residents in the cemetery, to identify the bodies that were found.
Colombia President Juan Manuel Santos, visited the area affected by the landslide and declared a civil emergency situation. He also allocate a longer Relief Fund for the victims.
"That's why we gathered here, waiting for what information could we can, looking for whether they've found," said Blanca, who gathered with other residents in the cemetery, to identify the bodies that were found.
